Scope of Work:
Interior design of lobby, offices, conference rooms, mail room, community room, bike room, circulation and 54-units for a multi-unit residential building located in Fairfax, VA. All interior finishes including custom signage/lighting, kitchen and bathroom millwork for this Permanent Supportive Housing project.

Story:
The goal is to design physical spaces welcoming to all seeking a FRESH START, promoting safety, well-being, and encouragement. Creating a HOME and a sense of COMMUNITY that provides an opportunity towards healing while EMPOWERING PEOPLE in services. The built environment is integral to how one experiences trauma, as the body reacts to physical space before we cognitively process it. Offering choices without being overwhelming and creating OPPORTUNITIES to connect and form relationships with others when desired, or to quietly retreat as needed.
We designed a sanctuary, a place to REBUILD, restore and thrive. Incorporating simplicity and efficiency, ensuring that each room serves as a calm, HEALING vessel that promotes emotional wellness and stability. Bringing bright, CHEERFUL colors like yellow with calming blues into the concept, creating a balanced, UPLIFTING environment. Carefully curated to evoke feelings of warmth, joy, and healing, using colors that balance vibrancy and calm. Together, they create a space that SUPPORTS emotional recovery while inspiring a renewed sense of possibility.
